Monday blues...

So its Monday and many of you are dragging yourselves back to work for another week of the drudgery. Many people will be working on their strategy for how to survive the week, but I think most of us are just trying to figure out how to get through the day. How can we avoid that pain in the ass boss or co-worker that for some reason just insists on making every day miserable? How can you stand to listen to one more whiny customer.


So what's your plan for the day (or the week if you have that much ambition)? What little things do you do to help you cope with Monday? Come in ten minutes late, just to prove they don't own you? An extra shot of caramel in that espresso today? Maybe you make some awesome plans for lunch...get in a good 20 minute workout, go for a jog, meet with that special someone, flirt with a stranger. Do you get in a nap, play loud music, go for a drive with the top down and the music up? How about setting an appointment to do some rock climbing or some golfing at one of those indoor places just down the street? How about that massage place a block over you've been wanting to try? Do you count down the hours, or ignore the clock?

Whatever the plan, most of us need a way to deal with Monday. The weekend is over, and you're heading back to the J O B. That thing you have to do because you've become addicted to food, and you like it when the lights come on. Think about your escape plan for the day, you need one. Read a few extra pages of that book, sneak in a few minutes of your favorite show on your tablet. Plan that vacation for this summer...or maybe just find a nice spot outside, and dream about when you can walk away.
