What is this place?

This is my blog (obviously).

The Back Story:
I've written a few articles around the internet and have another blog, but my other blog is more personal, and hard for me to write all the time because of that. I've been thinking for awhile about what I could start another blog about. My wife says I should write about something I'm very interested in about, so I'll want to write more often. This is true...so I spend some time thinking about "What the heck interests me?". Being a bit on the OCD/ADD side, I tend to lose interest quickly, and my job is pretty much 24/7, so I don't have time for a lot of hobbies, or pursuits. Not a lot of time for skiing, fishing, camping, or many of the other things I would love to do. So pretty much I watch movies and tv-shows, and I read books. I do a lot of both. Books are easily portable (especially thanks to my Kindle), and now so are movies (viola Kindle Fire).

So there's kind of a topic. I'm not sure though, because there's a million people out there writing about books and movies. Some of them are probably more qualified then me, and some are mostly likely better writers then I am. I tell my wife..."So?" she replies. Hmm. Good point. Next is the search for a name. I want something awesome, and something better then just "movie guy" Again I bounce the ball off my wife's head (I tried a couple friends...they were busy, so the wife gets bothered.), "Go brainstorm." she tells me. She's probably just trying to get me to go away at this point, but its still a good idea!

That whole paper method of brainstorming seems pretty archaic though, so I start searching the internet. It seems like nobody ever wanted to brainstorm online before... I find a couple reference and a YouTube video about a site that looks really promising, but the link takes me to a dead site. Then I found an awesome site: https://bubbl.us/. Its pretty cool, you can brainstorm/mindmap on it. You make bubbles, drag them around, make more, link them... You can even drag one onto another, and it will change associations. So I used it to do some brainstorming, came up with a lot of ideas to write about, and a few good site names. Of course there's a bunch of @#$% @$#%$ cyber squatters out there, so a few of my early ideas were taken. However persistence paid off, and we have where you landed today.

Yeah, but WHAT is this place?
Well, for starting out, this will mostly be me writing about the shows/movies/trailers I'm currently watching, or into. And the books I'm currently reading. Then it all expands from there, and it grows to everything that you might want to do to remove stress. EX-Stress-Yourself. Escapism, break from reality, relax, meditate, whatever you want to call it.  Everything and anything you do to take a break from the "real world" is what this site is dedicated to. I hope you have as much fun reading it, as I do making it. I'll be looking for contributions too as we go. So if you're into anything, and want to write an article, feel free to drop me a note/comment/email. There are no promises of anything. No payment possible. No guarantee that I'll post anything you submit. I will definitely give you credit for anything that you submit that I do publish. Feel free to link back this site if you want to, share it on Facebook, tweet it, whatever, but please don't repost any of my articles.

Who are you?
Me? Well, you'll have to check the about me page for that, no sense in typing all of that two times (or even copy/pasting it). So you'll have to deal with an extra click or two. :P   When I do have the about me page done, I'll link it up here.

Is that all?
Well, probably not, but its all for now!

Oh yeah... legalese.
I guess I need to cover my arse, in case someone gets the notion that I'm trying to steal their material, ip, name, or whatever.

Everything I write was written by me, its mine, forever...since that's how long a copyright seems to last anymore in this country. However, names of people, characters, movies, books, sports teams, icons, equipment, or any other item I mention, critique, review, share, write about, talk about, publicize, endorse, or in any other way have on exstressyourself.com is owned by the respective owner(s). I make no claims to those items, real or imagined. I was not paid in any way for my review, opinion, critique, etc. Unless I otherwise stated that I was, or if you (the reader) happen to click on a link...I make a few pennies. Not really the same as being paid for a specific article, but I wouldn't want it to go unsaid.  :) I'm not above writing a paid review, please contact me if you'd like me to. Also at some point I may have some variation of a "sponsor me" or "buy me a cuppa" or some other form of "begging". While I will truly appreciate such support, that doesn't constitute payment for any specific article, post, or writing.

All product (movie, book, etc) synopsis, clips, pics, etc, are used under Fair Use as codified in section 107 of the copyright law.

Sorry you had to read all that, I tried to make it as interesting as I could.  :)

Ok, so is that all?
I think so, but no guarantees.
